Dear Music Lovers and Supporters,

This week’s musical offering is Music from Apollo 13. The recording is from a concert by the BSO in February 2020 and is on YouTube: BSO plays Music from Apollo 13. The music from the 1995 American space docudrama film, Apollo 13, directed by Ron Howard. The music was composed by James Horner and arranged by John Moss.



About the music, Maestro Fred Devyatkin writes, “James Horner’s magnificent score to the Ron Howard docudrama, Apollo 13. Poignant and heroic, the music depicts a scrupulously accurate rendering of what NASA called a “successful failure.” From a performance last season, the BSO features First Trumpeter, Christopher Cushman. Enjoy!”
