Dear Music Lovers and Supporters,
Our 12th offering is the 1st Movement, or Allegro moderato, from the Violin Concerto (1878) by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky from a concert by the BSO in May 2018. The soloist is Hungarian-born violinist Tamás Kocsis. The recording is on YouTube: BSO plays Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto: Allegro moderato.
About the concerto, Maestro Fred Devyatkin writes, “A solo and orchestral tour de force, the Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto is required repertoire for violinists the world over. Tamás Kocsis plays it with aplomb and ease. Enjoy!”
Thank you to everyone who has donated to the Beaufort Symphony Orchestra. We are grateful for your consideration and generosity.
Sincerely,
Entire BSO Board & Musicians
