The program will include the Violin Concerto No. 1 in G minor, Op. 26, composed by Max Bruch in 1866 as well as the Symphony No. 5 in D major/D minor, Op. 107, known as the “Reformation Symphony,” composed by Felix Mendelssohn in 1830. Dear Music Lovers and Supporters, This week’s musical offering is the 2nd Movement, or Vivace non troppo, of Symphony No. 3 composed by Felix Mendelssohn (1842). The symphony is popularly known as the Scottish Symphony inspired by a visit to the ruins of Holyrood Chapel at Holyrood Palace in Edinburgh, Scotland.
