Dear Music Lovers and Supporters, Our ninth offering is the second movement from Symphony No. 101 in D major (1793-1794) by Austrian composer Franz Josef Haydn from a concert by the BSO in October 2018. The symphony is also known as “The Clock” symphony because of the "ticking" rhythm throughout its second movement. Dear Music Lovers and Supporters, We hope you had a wonderful, safe and healthy July 4th weekend! The 2020 federal relief bill (CARES Act), passed in March to mitigate economic effects from the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), grants taxpayers an above-the-line tax deduction for up to $300 in charitable donations, without having to itemize on the 2020 tax return.
