Dear Music Lovers and Supporters,
We are sad to report that we learned over the weekend that piano soloist Nadia Azzi has injured her hand and will not be able to perform at the Beaufort Symphony Orchestra’s “Passionate Romance” concert on March 10, 2024, at 5:00 pm at the USCB Center for the Arts.
However, we are happy to announce that we have found another young talented pianist, Ms. Adria Ye. Ms. Ye received her Bachelor’s and Master’s of Music at the Juilliard School in New York City. She is currently pursuing her studies at the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston. She will perform the Piano Concerto in A minor, Op. 54, by Robert Schumann. You can listen to Ms. Ye perform on YouTube at Nocturne in B major, Op. 62, No. 1, by Frédéric Chopin and Kreisleriana, Op. 16, by Robert Schumann.
In addition, the Beaufort Symphony Orchestra will perform the Symphony No. 4 “Italian” in A major, Op. 90, MWV N16, by Felix Mendelssohn. A preview of the concert music is on Spotify.
If you have not yet purchased tickets for the March 10 concert, go ahead and buy them now! Invite your friends to join you … bring a group … come to the concert and then make dinner plans at one of our local restaurants nearby. You will want to talk about the concert afterward … so plan something special.
Thank you for your continued support for the Beaufort Symphony Orchestra. We appreciate all donations, large and small, which go toward Keeping Music Live! in Beaufort.
Sincerely,
BSO Board and Musicians
