Dear Music Lovers and Supporters,

This week’s musical offering is A Chorus Line. The music was composed by Marvin Frederick Hamlisch. The recording is from a concert by the BSO in February 2019 and is on YouTube: BSO plays A Chorus Line.



About the music, Maestro Fred Devyatkin writes, “Marvin Hamlisch is one of only two people to win an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, Tony and a Pulitzer Prize (the other being Richard Rodgers, who we featured a few weeks ago). In a performance from February, 2019, the BSO gives a rousing rendition (encore included) of music from “A Chorus Line”, the Broadway musical which earned Hamlisch his Tony and Pulitzer. Enjoy!!”
