Dear Music Lovers and Supporters,

The Beaufort Symphony Orchestra board is excited and happy to announce the 2021-2022 schedule for the Beaufort Symphony Youth Orchestra (BSYO). We plan six concerts, with two in the Fall, Winter and Spring.

  • November 9: Tuesday 7 pm: St. John’s Lutheran church - confirmed
  • November 11: Thursday 7 pm: Grace Coastal - unconfirmed
• Winter
  • Mar 8, 2022, Tuesday, 7 pm: Riverview Baptist Church - unconfirmed
  • Mar10, 2022 Thursday 7 pm: Beaufort Church of God - unconfirmed
• Spring
  • May 10, 2022: Tuesday 7 pm: Saint Peters Catholic Church - unconfirmed
  • May 17, 2022: Tuesday 7 pm: Bethesda Christian Church - unconfirmed

Preparation for each pair of concerts will consist of 8 rehearsals on Thursday evenings for 6:30 to 9:00 PM.

Auditions for the BSYO are scheduled on Thursday, August 26, 2021, starting at 6:30 PM. There will be no rehearsal that evening, only auditions. Interested players should call or email Gwen Bates, our Youth Orchestra contact.

In addition, we are excited to announce a 4-day string-instrument (violin, viola, cello and bass) music camp from Monday through Thursday, July 26 to 29, 2021, from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM. The camp will be held at the Rabinowitz Music Studio, 715A Bay Street, Upstairs, Beaufort, SC 29902 and led by Maestro Fred Devyatkin.
