Dear Music Lovers and Supporters,

On December 12, 2021, the Beaufort Symphony Orchestra will perform its 2021 Holiday concert “Homegrown Holiday.” The program will include the Concerto No. 8 in A minor for two violins and strings, RV 522, by Italian composer Antonio Vivaldi. The concerto is the eighth of 12 concertos that are collectively titled L'estro armonico (The Harmonic Inspiration), Op. 3. The violin soloists will be Beaufort Symphony Youth Orchestra members Eden Engel and Elyse Stromer.

In addition to the Vivaldi concerto, the orchestra will perform a variety of Holidays Pops music.



In preparation for our Holiday concert, we offer Polar Express from the film score to “The Polar Express” by Alan Silvestri and Glen Ballard and arranged by Jerry Brubaker. The recording is from the December 2015 Holiday concert and on YouTube: BSO Strings perform Polar Express. The suite is a medley that includes “Believe,” “The Polar Express,” “When Christmas Comes to Town” and “Spirit of the Season.”
