Dear Music Lovers and Supporters,
The Beaufort Symphony Orchestra will perform its “Americana” concert next Sunday, March 5, 2023, at 4:00 pm at the USCB Center for the Arts. The concert will feature the Symphony No. 9, "From the New World" in E minor, Op. 95, by Antonín Dvořák. Other music will include “An American in Paris” by George Gershwin, “‘Pops’ Hoe Down” by Richard Hayman and “An American Salute” by Morton Gould. A preview of the music is on Spotify at Americana.
- Tickets still can be purchased through Tix using this link.
- If you have already purchased tickets, you can display the tickets on your cell phone and show them at the door.
We enjoyed a wonderful “Romantic Celebration” concert on January 29, which featured piano soloist and Steinway Artist Susan Merdinger performing the Tchaikovsky Piano Concerto No. 1 in B-flat minor, Op. 23. The recording of the concert can be found at the BSO’s streaming page.
Please consider supporting the BSO’s 2022-2023 Season by donating to the Beaufort Symphony Orchestra. For example, in preparation for the January concert,
- $2,500 will help us bring guest solo artists to perform with the Beaufort Symphony Orchestra
- $1,000 will help us bring soiree events to small communities within the Beaufort area
- $500 will help us to send a young Beaufort Symphony Youth Orchestra member to a summer music camp
Sincerely,
BSO Board and Musicians
